Sit-N-Go Poker Tournament
There are different variations of poker tournaments available, although most of the online – as well as offline – poker tournaments available are played based on the sit-n-go rules. Sit-n-go tournaments are also noted as the most straightforward form of poker tournament, since each rounds are played directly. In this part, we are going to discuss how sit-n-go poker tournaments and the right strategy to use.
The sit-n-go poker tournament is usually divided into several rounds depending on the scale of the tournament. In most cases, you can have 3 to 5 rounds of sit-n-go’s before the final table. Each round starts as soon as all players are seated. Each player starts with a certain poker bankroll and whoever lose all their bankroll get eliminated.
As the round progresses, each table’s winner – the person who survived the previous round – gathers in a new table; again, the round starts as soon as all players are seated. The bankroll is also set back to the original amount, allowing every player to compete equally and progress to the next round.
Entering the final table, the same rules are used. The only difference is that the top three – or top five, depending on the tournament – players finishing the table will take home cash prizes and other rewards.
The good thing about playing sit-n-go tournaments is that you don’t need long-term strategy. Tables are reset at the beginning of each round, so you can simply maximize your usual poker strategy and focus on winning the one round at a time.
